There are so many different types of Key Fobs

Find pictures of key fobs that you think could be

made in our school workshop.

Glue them onto a piece of A4 paper,

or use a computer, and write about

what you like or dislike about each.

Remember to say where you found the picture,

and how much the key fob costs.

You could even mention the type of material that its made from.

what things are made from aluminium and acrylic.

​​​​Tools and Techniques​​

​Write about a tool or process that you

have enjoyed using or learning about.

TechnologyStudent.com has lots of useful information.

You could write about all of them if you like.

You have so much to choose from :- Filing, Drilling, using wet and dry paper, polishing and finishing,

use of oven and formers and using a magnifier or microscope.

Produce a Plan of how you made your Key Fob. ​​​

​​

​Normally you would produce a “Plan of Making” before you made the Key Fob.

However in year 7 this is difficult because you are just starting to learn about

the different techniques.

This plan of making allows you to think about what you have done, so,

in year 8 you can produce a plan before you start making.

For your Homework

• Choose a key Fob that you most enjoyed making the most
• Write a few sentences about each stage
• Include labelled drawings of any tools you have used
• Say what you found difficult
• Say what you enjoyed
 Which Key Fob will you write about?     Key Fob 1, 2, 3 or 4 ?

Produce a 3D Sketch of Object or Objects at Home.

​

Its so important for Product Designers to be able to sketch.

So why not practise at home and draw as many objects as you can in 3D.

Draw your Fridge, TV, Toaster, table and chairs....anything really.

Or have a go at any of crazy 3d illusions and drawings shown in the videos
