You Have 8 tasks to complete. Each task can be completed during lesson time or at home, Homework Club, Library or Product Design Club.

COMPLETE ALL TASKS TO A GOOD STANDARD FOR A 6A
TASK 1 Produce a range of sketches and accurate drawings of your Jewellery designs.
You could make models and produce lots of sketches and dimensioned drawings of your Jewellery designs.
This should be completed in Class
TASK 2 Write your own Design Brief and Specification in response to the Challenge set by ACME Designs.
You could write a personal design Brief and a Specification for your Jewellery.
This should be completed in Class.
TASK 3 Produce research on Pewter and the Process of casting using the two ring method.
You could show all the research that you have done into jewellery making techniques in school
This Should be completed as Classwork and Homework.
TASK 4 Produce research on the Culture that you have chosen
You could show all the research that you have done into the Culture that you have chosen to influence your jewellery design.
This Should be completed as Homework.
TASK 5 Produce a plan of how you will make or have made your Jewellery and Presentation Box.
You could show how you plan to make your piece or pieces of Jewellery
Min 1 side of A3 paper/6 slides PowerPoint/excel flowchart.
You may complete this as Homework or in Class.
TASK 6 evaluate which hand and machine tools, equipment and computer-aided design/manufacture (CAD/CAM) facilities are the most appropriate to use
You could write about all or some of the tools and equipment you have used saying what went well and what no so well.
You may complete this as Homework or in Class.
TASK 7 USE CADCAM TO Make acrylic casting Patterns
You could write about which pattern was the most successful, why is it so important to take into account the relief angles of the pattern edges?
You may complete this in Class.
TASK 8 Reflect critically when evaluating and modifying their ideas and proposals to improve products
You could write about what you have made, and what you would do if you had the opportunity to do it again. Would you do anything differently?
